Jan 23 and 24: Writing up a Storm

I made this cute little piece of art for Jamie.  Also, mmm... cupcakes : )

Jan 23: James and I headed over to my house today.  I started my resume and spent some time looking at other students' resumes and comments.  I think I'm starting to get the hang of this.  I have yet to start my letter, but I'm doing alright so far.  I read a bunch and the book is getting pretty interesting.  There's the standard intrigue and danger involved.  We watched House, which is FINALLY back on!  It's quite annoying to have to wait almost two months to see new episodes.  We also watched that new show, Alcatraz, which I think is pretty good.  I wasn't feeling very well today, and I think it was from drinking chocolate milk.  I drink milk pretty much every day, in small doses, so sometimes I forget I can't just drink as much as I want - I'm lactose intolerant.  I wish we had made chocolate chip pancakes but I have a new plan: chocolate chip waffles with my mom's new waffle maker!

Jan 24: Today I woke up late and was fuzzy for most of the day.  I am having such a hard time waking up in the morning.  It may just be that I don't have anything motivating to wake up for in the morning, but I would love to apply for some internships soon and fix that!  I watched a bunch of design shows and waited for the fog to lift and took a little nap.  Once I woke up properly, though, I started working on my resume and letter of application. I have done a lot of work on the both today.  I'm pretty pooped.  : P  I spent a lot of time workshopping for the resume, including helping some other students out.  I hope my participation will be looked upon kindly.  I'm still afraid of missing some things and getting points taken off.  It seems like there are just too many elements to keep track of at once.  I think I'm doing better, though.  I submitted my letter late tonight, so I hope there is enough time to get some good feedback before it's due.  I have about two days, so I think it will work out well.  I think I forgot how good it feels to accomplish a lot in one day.  Most of my classes have been little work and focused mostly on the tests, but it feels really nice to have spent most of the day working hard on these assignments and I really hope I'll get a better grade this time around.  If not, I guess I'll have to get used to the idea of an A- because I am really trying my hardest to do well.  I'm gonna go watch The Bachelor even though it's late because I'm not that tired.  I slept too much earlier and now I'm just awake.  I hope I really can find an internship nearby; I found one in Willoughby that I am really interested in, but it's 50 minutes away.  That's a lot of driving, especially since I don't have my license yet.

Have a great night everyone!

Love,
Christen

Two things:

1. We watched Alcatraz too! I liked it, he wasn't as interested. It's going to become a back up show.

2. Get your license! License = Freedom (and a reason to come see me!)
